To the several dozen hardy souls still here, Dave Hansen just announced the final vote count:

Morgan Philpot: 671 votes = 60.13 percent

Neil Walter: 445  votes = 39.87  percent

No primary in this race; Morgan Philpot is the GOP’s candidate in District 2.  Hansen also said we need to say goodbye quickly because the Utah Jazz game is tonight and the Salt Palace needs the parking spaces.  Priorities!
